"May my cry come before you, O LORD; give me understanding according to your word. May my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your promise. May my lips overflow with praise, for you teach me your decrees. May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous. May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts. I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight. Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws sustain me. I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands." pslam 119:169-176

I would have to agree with you and steal Lost in Translation as one of mine. Others would have to include:
-Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys
-Igby Goes Down
-Amores Perros
-The Good Girl
I'm sure there are others, but those stand out right now.
I don't think I've seen any of the others you've listed Grant. This will give me plenty to see over the next few weeks. :-)
yes....see them. See them all. In fact, I probably have a bunch more that you have yet to see that you should see. I think that was really bad grammar.
well, grant. apparently you're the only one that likes movies out there. :-)
i would have to say Spinal Tap. i've wanted to see Amores Perros, but haven't. i've not heard of the other ones Grant listed either. Oh, and i don't think i really liked Lost in Translation. At least not as far as i can remember. But if we're being Bill Murray themed, i choose Groundhog Day! Other things i'd pick would be W&G: Curse of the Were Rabbit and Sophie Scholl - Die Letzte Tage (the last days).
i agree with Grant in that: I'm sure there are others, but those stand out right now.
Amelie, Sweet November, The Piano for me. I always feel inspired after I watch them. The Piano is pretty depressing though.
Hey, Kyle!
Lost in translation is also one of my fav. movies! As real as life itself....I mean...if you think about it, it seems that it doesn't really happen anything during the whole film, it's like there isn't really a defined argument, it's just a piece of life shared by two strangers: two americans meet in Japan, get to know each other and...after all, everyone follows their way.
Another films that maybe you have seen or would like to see are: "In the mood for love" and "Chungking express" (both by the great Wong Kar Wai), "Amélie" and "The Ice Storm"
I'm sure Grant agrees with that last one! (what about the others....?)
I also would like to comment that the soundtrack of "In the mood for love" (the main theme) combined with the film, really hurts in the soul! (oh, how poethic!) ;-)
Cheers!
Thank you!
